 Taken in Grand Mesa National Forest looking south on to plains. The storm was below and s. of me, shot hand held (many shots trying to get a lightning strick), cropped, added a added some contrast, purplized the rain, which was gray in color selection, USMed, and degrained in Neat Image.

Very interesting and great capture. Purple seems rather un-natural. You also have lots of compression problems. (Your image is just over 85k - use more of the allowed 150k to prevent banding.)

An interesting photo. Probably would have done better with a square format though. An 8 from me.

I think cropping in closer on the lightning would make this a bit better. At the moment there is no real focal point.

You should have added titles to the picture and cropped it square like an album cover to meet this challenge.
