One of 18 Covered bridges in Ashtabula County, Ohio. This shot was taken handheld during a light snow in the late afternoon. Original was converted to black and white and then sharpened with Lucis Art is CS5.
Wow, what a pleasant surprise. I'm new to dpchallenge and the ribbon was way more than I expected for my first entry. I actually didn't think about the weight sign during processing and I can see now how removing it would have made the photo even more dramatic. Something to learn, which is why I enjoy participating in community workshops and challenges like this.

Congrats....a ribbon on your first entry! That's impressive. :) I do see from the website (Google search) that the bridge was rebuilt in 1984. I thought that wood looked pretty new. ;)
don't you wish those signs weren't there? very pretty scene....I won't be deducting for the signs cause I realize there is nothing you could do about them
