This is my first challenge entry, a picture of my son - a German Shepherd/Husky Mix named Onyx.
I'm not super happy with this photo, I think the turkey is too out of focus, could of done with a better DoF. I was trying to focus in and isolate the face and eyes of Onyx, but I now think the foreground is too OoF. Also, the background is too distracting. If this wasn't a Basic challenge, I'd definitely try to blur that out with PP.
Anyway, not a great photo, but a start at DPC!

This dog is beautiful! You will have to post more of him. You did a great job with the detail on a "black" dog.
(I know from trying to capture my very black cat, just how difficult it is to get the correct exposure.)
This is cute in black and white. Unfortunately for me, the only thing really in focus is the Dog's eye. I do like the softness, but for an image like this, focus would be the key.
