i dont really understand what it meant by balance, so i have just been looking at this as a free study, that being said, this is gorgeous, love the sky and tho i dont know where this was shot, it makes me long for maui

This will probably do exceptionally well. It is gorgeous to look at (so I suppose the "effective" part applies). As for out of balance, not a clue. Incredible reflection and colors. And such an appreciative moment captured.
