Since a cat and a dog have recently been featured in the ribbon circle on the homepage, and since this border feature keeps "cropping" up on DPC, I thought I'd try an Xtreme entry mixing in these revered elements.

And red eyes and harsh light and an unusual crop. Certainly not a soothingly balanced image, but I can't quite figure out what effect it's supposed to have so it's tough to say if it's effective or not.
i dont really understand what is meant by balance, so i have just been looking at this as a free study, that being said, i am guessing by the shot and the border and the title, you were just trying to be funny so i wont go into any detail as far as critque

The pose of the cat almost makes it feel like it's getting crushed between the borders as in a trash compactor.
