I think this is the best photo I took this month. My brother Steve and his 16 going on 17 year old Dal, Dangerfield (after Rodney) on Christmas Day. Shot with camera on tripod in available roomlight: Low incandescent, candles(my sister in law LOVES candles) and the fire in the Franklin Stove. I had the cable release connected but used the shutter when I took this becasue the Dal finally stopped moving and I forgot to use the release.

I was very disappointed this did not ribbon, but I guess all in all it did very well, for being so non-plastic :-) I was one of your 10's. Fabulous shot, great processing.
I think this is a flat-out fantastic portrait (of man and dog). The fire in the background offers a lot of context and gives the whole image a warm feel.
