Well I thought this was an interesting image, as it reminded me of a faded etching, a subtle high key, a delicate though complex scene. Apparently I should have played with the sliders, as this was virtually straight from the camera other than the crop.
Thanks, dpurger, for the comment. No desaturation. Just a little backward curve and brightening of the whites.
