What an awesome way to start the year and my new life in Florida. I took this on my fourth anniversary of becoming a member here, and four days after moving to Daytona Beach.
Thanks for all the comments and for the support throughout the week!

The texture here is so wonderful; the wood and the waves; the sunbleached goodness in Black and white. But you don't need to hear me say that- you won the red!
Congrats on the Red Alicia! Great tones in this B&W...and maybe it's just me but I see an additional 'layer'/pattern. The grain on the wood of the pier reminds/takes on the aspects of the waves/ripples of the sea.
Baby Girl OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, YAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAAYYAY Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!! Your first ribbon, you will be on a high for at least 2 days!!!! YAYAYAYAY
I'm guessing this an HDR image...but since there's so much motion in the ocean, I assume you did a pseudo-HDR from one image? If you did this with a full bracket series of exposures, I'd be very interested to hear how! Great photo, I scored it a 9!
into the Sea is the second EP by Chicago-based instrumental metal band Pelican, released in 2005 by Hydra Head Records. The title track is the original version of the shortened song "March to the Sea" from their 2005 album The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw, which was released just a month-and-a-half later.

One day I'll visit the ocean and get my own shot like this. It seems to be a requirement like getting a photo of a wing on a airplane in flight. I always like them.
Great image. I'd guess HDR to get the detail in the bottom of the pier, but the waves are stop motion, so I'm interested in how you dod this. Cool shot regardless.
