I love the focus on the bells and the way the rest of the image, including cable car and passengers, is more impressionistic. I'm really pleased that they still use cable cars in San Francisco. I'm quite fond of that mode of transport. They still have them in Melbourne - they're called trams here. We used to have them in Ballarat but a few decades back they got rid of them and ripped up all the tracks (politicians love to burn their bridges behind them). We still have one that runs beside a short section of the lake, for tourists, but they are no longer a part of our daily commuting. |
