I thought this was a not-bad natural light portrait. I wonder if you had pressed yourself against the wall if you could have got more of his face (three quarters rather than profile) and had a little better light (without having to worry about an over-exposed sky).
I like your composition and you have some nice textures here. I feel it might be a stronger image in black and white. Could just be my personal preference. You're in my top ten for the challenge.
