 Daugter in front of the Christmas Tree.
halogen lamp in front at her feet, spot ligt to the left.

Not my best effort but ive got one in and it made me think.

Processing.

Crop.
Remove purple led lights that appeared in her hair.
De noise.
Sharpen features.
High pass filter.
clone out scar on chin.
Dodge hair.
Save for web.

The bokeh is great. Very nice. Sharpness is also great. However the light from below does not seem to flatter the subject. Nice catch with the light in her eye. The background color does not feel quite right, though. It just seems too purple on my monitor which is somehow distracting or conflicting with the bokeh colors and the girl's hair. Not being an "expert", these are just observations that are, hopefully, helpful.

This could have been a good photo for the challenge if the lighting were a little better. The light from below and opposite side, is too harsh and causes too many shadows.

Very nice portrait. Great color, eyes, bokeh.. but for the challenge it's more from the side than the back.
