I think the in-challenge comments were pretty accurate. (Except for Grog's. Why he thought this was a celebrity is a mystery to me!) The image appears somewhat flat and definitely needs a little cranking up in PP. I tried some of PSP's clarify on this, and it did help to give it a little pop and dimension. As Cory suggested, some saturation, contrast and sharpening (in addition to some clarify) would certainly help. The composition is a bit static as well. I might have composed this with a little more room at the top and more free space on the left side, to give her something to dance into. As far as the dancing, I agree it's not obvious she's dancing, both from the odd position of her arms, and the fact that she's wearing a coat and hat. Even though she surely was dancing at the time, it is not strongly conveyed by the image. |
