Wow ... I can't believe those comments and this score. Thank you so much !!
The day before this photo, it snowed around 15 inches of fresh powder ... a miracle just before the week-end. Woke up at 6am saturday to do ski touring in Belledone, one of the moutain close to Grenoble.
After few hours and climbing 2300 feet following this track, we arrived at the "Lacs Robert" where I took this photo.
I didn't took this for the challenge, but I feel so much alive when I'm in the mountains I wanted to put this on DPC ... but I didn't believe I was able to break a 6 with that.

Congratulations Julien! Glad to see a teammate garner another ribbon.
Excellent photo, and I can totally relate to your comments about feeling alive in settings like this. You've done a wonderful job of depicting that for the viewer, and I know exactly how hard it can be to capture a moment like that for those who weren't present.
this looks fake, as in a miniature model setup.
no, i dont mean it as something bad, but that's just how it appears to me, and thought would be ok to let u know.
All that space to explore, and following others's tracks ... The combination of the idea of exploration, and yet of being simply a follower. Good work.
This is an awesome photo. A lone skier in a vast expanse; says to me this person is living-taking life at its fullest... I like the tones, the highlights - shadows. Nice presentation.
Excellent. Motivational poster here. I don't like the white lines of the border, but it doesn't bother me enough to not give this a 10. Beautiful shot.
Great subject matter for this challenge. Didn't like some of the other shots that used this premise, but this one works for me. I think it is the skier following a lone trail. . .thus other people??? Don't know, but like it.
WOW!! So marvelous. Such an interesting dichotomy - the lone skier, yet connected to the world on the well-traveled path. Lovely lines and shadows, great choice of tones. Only my second image, but I see this on the front page.
