Took several shots of my daughter wearing her "pretty dress" and really liked this one of her looking off to the side.
These were my steps:
I selected the white part of her eye and increased the brightness.
I used Topaz Detail "Soft Looking" as my starting point. Reduced the sliders on the small and medium details a bit and increased the contrast and brightness within Topaz Detail. After Topaz Detail, I increased the vibrance just a touch and applied USM very lightly.
Cropped it to get some background toys out of the scene (the toys are strung everywhere), added the border, resized, and saved for web.
What a gorgeous profile portrait. I love the softness which is so appropriate to a beautiful little child. Her hair looks so fine and soft. I also like the softened and simplified background.
