Didn't vote on this challenge Deb, Well done on the top 10. This was one challenge I couldn't have entered if I wanted to, as they got rid of all the payphones in Finland a few years ago.
So many great details in this image - the angle, the reflection in the bottom square, the position of the cable. And the pp'ing - it looks like a jutilda with a Droid and lomo app :-)
What a great shot, love the feeling here, kinda dark and moody, but shiny and bright at the same time..
Great way to deal with difficult shooting conditions, the chrome and black are nearly impossible to capture well in basic, but your treatment of just blowing out the whites and keeping deep blacks really worked for this image..
