A reflection of snow and tree through a window at right angles to the window looking at the water onto which..... The feather is actually a Bufflehead scooting in for a landing. I saw this and framed it many times, with and without the duck. What to call it? It looked a little like a cross between Marlon Brando and Burt Lancaster (in the movie based on the John Updike novel) as seen by a sshadowy Gustav Klimpt. More than a kiss, maybe something about our watery origins...

The idea behind the Posthumous Ribbon is to encourage you to break the rules, to find new and different ways to express yourself. To free your mind to think clearly toward the solution that is certain to come, to laugh at world and at life, not doing what others are expecting you to do, but just following and listening to what's in your heart. DPC it’s a wonderful learning place where everyone should be supported on their way to be a photographer. A special attention should be aimed to those working hard with different views and approaches to photography, those not aligned with the mainstream taste and receiving no recognition. It’s our responsibility to support these photographers creating diversity and expressing different visions. Being active at the Posthumous thread it’s the best way to do it. Being active at the Posthumous thread it’s the best way to protect your and the other’s freedom of being different. Thanks for taking the time to enter this challenge. Stay wild.
what an interesting scene, another image full of mystery and wonder, and the left third is outstanding. ETA: back again, really a treasure of an image. I so want to see the bird, you evoked a strong sense of yearning. Splendid.
You can stop treading water now. This was my highest score given with no comment (until now). Such a beautiful eye you have. This is exquisite. I commented on another image that any further attempt at words would ruin the image for me. The same applies here, so I'll stop now.
It's either crap or brilliant. Second look ... a looooong one: yes I will go with brilliant, or close to it. The feather (if it is a feather, or even if it isn't) is the clincher. Top ten. Thank you.
I do of course not know what I'm talking about, but it looks like it might have been a bit better if you had lifted the camera a little or cropped out some of the space in the bottom. Otherwise mysterious and interesting.
