The title on this is worth its weight in eiderdown :-) It's sort of a pity that orange-footed, almost-still duck is there, center left on the rocks, but it's not a big deal. Clearly, the lower-right duck is the traffic controller on duty :-) I just noticed the swan in this review, BTW; if I chose to I could see him as emblematic of the late, lamented Concorde... That's just silly, I know, but this silly picture pleases me no end.
Coming back for a final, smooth landing, I award you the Bronze Paw :-)
The idea behind the Posthumous Ribbon is to encourage you to break the rules, to find new and different ways to express yourself. To free your mind to think clearly toward the solution that is certain to come, to laugh at world and at life, not doing what others are expecting you to do, but just following and listening to what's in your heart. DPC it’s a wonderful learning place where everyone should be supported on their way to be a photographer. A special attention should be aimed to those working hard with different views and approaches to photography, those not aligned with the mainstream taste and receiving no recognition. It’s our responsibility to support these photographers creating diversity and expressing different visions. Being active at the Posthumous thread it’s the best way to do it. Being active at the Posthumous thread it’s the best way to protect your and the other’s freedom of being different. Thanks for taking the time to enter this challenge. Stay wild.
There's one in every crowd isn't there, the quiet steady one standing by, burdened with the responsibility of making sure the scattered ones are okay in their business and frivolity.
Back for commenting.
This photo immediately put a smile on my face, a well-attended and hectic spot with only one character standing still, unaware of the surrounding chaos.
Great idea ! Nice composition, very well-balanced !
Extremely interesting and artistic photo. The motion blur is sublime (I particularly like the swan that's looking at itself). Excellent composition and the one duck that stood perfectly still gets a prize for sure. Excellent work.
The standing duck makes the photo... it's like watching one of those time-lapse music videos where the singer is in real-time, but instead... ducks. Quack. 8
Proof that even the simplest ideas can still have surprisingly good results. So glad that foreground bird managed to be perfectly still while your shutter was open. He anchors the image.
How did you convince the duck to stay put during the session? :) Great work, I love how this photo shows the feeling of a different individual among a crowd.
And Johnathan Livingston Duck observed the rest of his brethren zigged and zagged about, oblivious to the majesty of the setting sun. He did not notice Jacqueline Livingston Duck observing him.
