What an interesting image. So carefully done. Just right amount of sharpness in the leaves and mask. I really like the background. The circular speck highlights ad to this unique feel.
I have no idea what that is (my first thought was a WWI gas mask) but it's quirkiness, the use of DoF, composition and lighting makes for a great photo. I like the title also - 8 come back to bump to a 9.
