Part of a large target emplacement.

What's really funny is that these are plywood and PVC models... Pretty damn good ones too as they've managed to go undetected as fakes by DPCer's... Yay!

There are a variety of well built models of radar installations, SCUD launchers, SAMs, and perhaps other enemy vehicles...

Since these have been here for years, and seem to be in really good shape, I'm guessing they're used for pilot identification testing/training..

They are rather difficult to get a good shot of, so we'll see how this does..

Love the contrast between the mountain and the grass.

Excellent use of DOF to achieve subject isolation. The mountain appears insignificant behind the mighty missile.

Very well done. This really shows off the overall scene and context well.

SAM... wasn't that the same name as the sheep dog that protected the flock from the wolf in a popular cartoon many moons ago? But I'm showing my age though it still shows something formable out there protecting it's flock.

Nice sharp focus on the weapon without loosing too much detail on the background - but enough to make your subject pop. The photo on a whole tells an interesting story that I don't know but can imagine. Overall, I quite like this - 7.

Oddly quite pleasant :) The handling of the shallow DOF on the SAM was wise.
