Gray, rainy and cold the past few days here in the UK ... perfect conditions to go out and look for interesting Autumn detail shots ... with shapes abound. And since I recently picked up an Oly E-P2 with Panny 20mm f/1.7 glass to serve as my compact, lightweight travel kit, it was a good time to take it for a test drive.
I captured over 20 different leaf shots similar to this, all composed with the 'Shapes' challenge in mind. This one really stood out once I was going through them on the PC, with strong contrast, clear details and the added bonus of "shapes on shapes" (droplets on the primary subject leaf on top of all the other random leaves).
Almost no processing needed beyond basic RAW conversion tweaks to exposure and white balance and flip horizontal/vertical.
