This guy had been in a pretty good fight. My first view of him showed me red on his hind-quarter. His opponent had apparently gored him back there. After this image he walked behind some shrubbery and I was unable to get any more shots of him.
That's a great series of photos, Scott, and good bit of information to go with them. You were lucky to get the shots before the buck went and hid himself.
