I am amazed at the thickness of this Buck. He's a mature male in his prime. Most likely 4-5 years old.

You were fortunate to have your P&S cam with you. I carry one all the time for this sort of moments. It's not possible to tell that this was done with a P&S by just looking at it here. The color and "de-tail" are excellent.
