The warmth of the smile and happiness shines through very strongly - the overlay of the worn and rough edges plays upon the imagery of a friendship that has survived and persisted over the decades.

I could look at these shots all day . . they are so much more than just a cold image - they capture something of the warmth and character of the people involved.
