We spent a few days in Puerto Rico after a week on Dominica for a wedding. With the rains passing, the sun just began to peer through the clouds. This is a 5-exposure HDR combined and tone-mapped in Photomatix, and some auto-contrast in Photoshop. My only regret here is cutting off the bottom of the lookout tower.
Coming from Los Angeles where the air is dry and hot, almost never rains, this Caribbean humidity was quite uncomfortable. I'll admit that after nearly two weeks in it you do start to get used to your shirt sticking to you. This trip generated nearly 25 gigabytes of photos and videos, especially because I can't bring myself to shoot anything other than bracketed stills for later HDR processing. I chose this photo because most of my friends seemed to agree it was their favorite. I hope you all like it. There were a number that I liked from the fort down the street (Morro).
