I do like this one very much -- it was one of my 8s. It makes you hear the rain against the window and the wind. It also gives you the cozy feeling of being inside. It evokes a lot on many levels. Beautifully done, severely underrated.
Thanks to Yo_Spiff, MeMex2 and ubique...they saw the intent behind this image. I appreciate all the comments, but these two really made my day. I guess you have to experience a Nor'easter to appreciate the sound and appearance of it.
You might want to take that comment from Ubique and frame it with the shot. That is high praise! I felt the same way about many of the other entries, but he says it perfectly.
Simple and startlingly effective. Probably more in the true spirit of the challenge than any other entry. Normally I don't care much at all about whether an image 'meets the challenge" ... how can I really know that? But this time you have left me in no doubt; it's wonderfully sensory, which was surely the whole point (rather than vapid pictures of people merely presumed to be making a noise). Top two for me.
