 Franciscan Renewal Center

I'm not at all dedicated to organized religion, but it still fascinates me - the ritual, the icons, the mysticism.

The overlay I used happened to work really well to reinforce the magic.

were the three main subjects part of the original scene? This all looks like one amazing composite. Very cool.

WE are in complete agreement. I think a theology study should be required in all schools. What kind of makes me chuckle is that the palm tree is the third thing. LOL Ok, I'm going to be struck by lightning now.

This is getting silly now .... I really am running out of word to express how good these images are .... I'm afraid for this one you are just going to have to be content with me staring open mouthed at my screen for a while ;-). ..... Ooooh you know what this reminds me of ? His Dark Materials ... Specifically the reference to dust

This gets my imagination going. Looks like St. Francis is holding back the demons singlehandedly. Whatever they're throwing at him is smashing into a million pieces when it hits the cross.

I'm with you on the religion thing. But yes, this is quite magical. It's images like this that keep the faithful believing.
