Okay... whew! I'm glad this is over. The Fairy Tale Life is not for me. :)
Turns out my Princess (my daughter off at college) couldn't shoot with me until the last day of the challenge (although she was quite willing... even knowing the task).
I emptied a small pond... with a bucket. Found TWO bullfrogs! Eureka! Game on!
AND... Princess brought this horrid yellow shirt thing (laces up the back) that she went Dumpster Diving for thinking it might come in handy one day. It was perfect for the task! Shorts on bottom completed the ensemble. LOL!
Toy crown for Princess (borrowed from a sweet friend), real frog (lucky guy!), real toy crown on frog (used before in "Purple), all set up... and then... RAIN! Arg. So, I stood in the house while Princess stood under the overhang... my pond in the background... And voila'! Princess and Frog Prince
I love the backlighting... I hope you do, too.
Natural light with gold reflector back on her face.
Thanks bunches to my favorite FON for the title. I was stressing.
And most thanks for my martyr model. I didn't even have to beg. At all.

Stunning shot Lydia, creative, appealing, fun. Trust you got out the Dettol Wet Wipes?
Wonder what's going through the Prince's mind whilst looking up at the Princess?
there you go! Congrats Lydia! I guess love to frogs runs in the family. I would've never been able to model for a shot like this (even for a promise of a charmed life thereafter), and I have little doubt that my daughter would pass on it, too :).
Eeewww, I can't believe you made the model kiss the frog:) But seriously though, this is a great shot for the challenge. Like the bokeh, nice lighting. Totally a fairy tale image. (You owe the model big time!!!)
HAHAHA!!! The froggie actually looks like he's staring up at here in wide-eyed fascination/terror. Very well done and kudos to your model for being so brave. Just wondering how all you folks are getting frogs to wear stuff!!!!
