Probably going to end up near the bottom of the pile, but I have no clue how to really do high key well, and this was my best photo of the week. I attempted to do most of the high key effect in camera, then highlight it a bit in post. My setup included a butternut squash on top of a white box with a white sheet as the background. I pointed two lamps with daylight bulbs at the sheet, and attached my 430 EX II to the camera. Then I used a big piece of styrofoam to reflect the flash at the setup to produce an even/soft light.
Post Processing (Aperture):
* Crop
* Increase black point
* Decrease brightness
* Increase contrast and definition a bit
* Increase saturation but decrease vibrancy
* Increase highlights on the gourd to show a little detail (probably a bad idea for this challenge)
* Increase shadows a lot to make the light even softer
* Adjust colors to get rid of some background shadow and bring out the orange in the squash a bit
* Edge sharpen
* Export to 800px
