Underexposed to get the late afternoon sunlight in the hair. I also liked the late day shadows on the surrounding landscape.
For post-process, I only rotated the image slightly before saving as JPG.

I love the idea and the backlighting - if there was any way of separating the dog 'standing watch' from the girl he is protecting, it might have more impact.
