 I shot this from the sunroof of my car trying to be discreet and not seen by the people in the buggy.
I cropped, used S&H, saturated the color and used the burn tool on the mailbox I could not clone out.
I don't expect a decent score (for me) but I like this photo and the memory of a
beautiful, cool country day.

Copy of my response in the forum:

I gave this a 5, but I tend to be a generous voter, so I figured others would slam it and they did. Here are what I see as the problems that brought it down:
-Noisy, or grainy image. Weird pattern is visible in the background foliage. Perhaps an extreme crop?
-objects on the left edge of the frame that don't add anything to the scene.
-Subject slightly off center, but not enough to seem intentionally composed that way.
-Just an overall lack of clarity.

This is just in response to your request for comments in the forums...

I voted a 4 on this. For me it met the challenge well. I liked the composition well enough and the fact that the challenge subject was a nice pop of color.

What I found to be lacking in the photo was the background. There is something funky with the leaves and stuff not really looking blurred through the shallow depth of field, but by some other wierd means. Also it had some high noise for the time of day it was taken. I would have liked to see this sharper and crisper.

Also be careful with the ruleset. I believe dodging and burning is illegal under basic rules as it is considered spot editing. I could be wrong though.
