Thanks for the lovely comments, favs and votes on this piece. The image was captured at dusk, on the south shore of Royal Lake in Olympic National Park, a 6.6 mile hike from the trailhead. Very little in the way of PP: just a slight levels adjustment and no crop. This is truly how it looked and felt (though chilly for late August, around 38 degrees!). The other photo entered this week "In the Style of Nixter", a photo I titled "Time Traveller" was also taken at this same lake. Thanks for my second 4th place finish. The other was "Natural Cathedral", which also placed 4th in a Free Study a few years back.

Gorgeous composition and colors. This would make a fabulous print! Back to bump and fave. I could just stare at this for hours and feel utterly peaceful.

Absolutely lovely. I'm having trouble identifying why this photo made me stop and look. Other than to say it's an excellent take on a often attempted subject type. The placement of your horizon and composition that places more detail in the reflection than the sky is particularly effective, as is the limited presence of reds from the sky. Kudos. Hope it does well.
