thank you i just got it now i wait...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................is it here yet?
You can probably imagine my shock and dismay when I went to retrieve an image to critique and this one popped up...Oh my gosh! What can I possibly say that hasn't already been said???
The desaturated colors work perfectly for this image, and I even like the dead-on centered horizontal line the horizon makes. Focus is perfect, composition is perfect, and it meets the challenge to a T.
I am always amazed and inspired by your photographs. Your ability to capture the world around you, and then to manipulate it into your mind's vision is an extraordinary gift. I am so pleased and honored to have the opportunity to learn from your work. Thank you for sharing your work with us! :o)
Heida your Bio says "I´m a sucker for photography!
Hope to go to school and learn it properly some day"
I really don`t think that will be necessary.
Your scoring is phenomenal.Well done.
Simply astonishing. I wouldn't mind getting some of your pictures in prints. You have a knack for these pictures, Heida. Congratulations on another blue :)
nice picture....couple of things......a lil more saturation on the shirt and the water. also....Hieda is a great 'Burner' , take a look at ther blue ribbon images, they are great in sky manipulation. try burning the sky a lil. it makes the image a lil more dramatic but in a way also free..i give this image a 7.....(man i hope you are not her)lol
Hah! Now that´s funny! :)
Anyways, til hamingju Heiða! Mjög góð mynd hjá þér!
This is such an absolutely beautiful photo! You just got marked on my favorites forever! It is so encouraging to see that photos can catch such beautiful and emotional moments, and I hope that one day I can learn to be a quarter as good as you are!
What a nice breath of fresh air, Heida! I really really like the muted colors of this shot. Beautiful shot and congrats on yet another well deserved ribbon.
Your photos get better and better and you have a great streak going- an dyou took the time to comment on one of my lousy pictures in a challenge recently. You are a graceful winner and a true asset to DPC.
Congratulations Heida! 3 BLUES in a row, wow! Well deserved. I did not get to vote on challenges for the last 2 weeks but these would definitely have gotten top marks! Looks like you are branching into people shots...no landscapes anymore? ;-)
Hooray! One of my top 2 in the challenge! Congratulations! One of the things I like about this image is how it conveys the theme without even needing a title. Whilst I am not one of those voters who ignores the title when voting and can understand in some challenges the need to use the title to explain the idea I really love when an image can convey the theme on its own.
This is very playful, but subtle with its muted pastel colors. I love the peacful gray/blue of the ocean and the sky, and the swinging pink of her top and her arms spread wide. Simple, sweet, a favorite of mine this challenge.
While several attempted this concept, yours is the one that succeeds. Lovely desaturated colours. I do find two elements of the image distracting - the dead center horizon line, and her tattoo; I would consider fixing by recropping and cloning.

Nice Composition, <== That was my first comment. Now I'll tell you what I really think. I should have given it a 10, simply because, "Freedom, really is the ability, to be a Free spirit". Congratulations for a very expressive photograph. I like the tatoo, in fact it further shows the free spirit of the subject. The foamy surf looks nearly perfect in motion as does the water off her foot. The perfectly flat unobstructed horizon line again, doesn't distract from the subject. The pastels blend very well. Congratulations!
The high key approach is perfect here, and the model is just the right size compared to the vast ocean. The color seems a bit warm, but that may just be me.
I went thru half images in the challenge and this is the first where I can actualy sense a little bit of freedom. A beautiful composition, superb colors, I like this one alot. Good luck!
I love the pastel tones to this. Great all around really. You did a good job capturing the feeling of freedom without having to be completely obvious about it. Bravo!
Beautiful muted sky and sea colours - very calming. The pose, with arms flung casually out, is very much what conveys the challenge theme to me in this image. Composition is just right. 9
Perfect with the soft colors and her pink top giving just the right highlight or "draw". This would look great hanging on my wall. It screams freedom, also. 8.
Super image. I love the pale blues and pinks and the lines of surf and sky. I would airbrush out the tattoo unless that was the message you were going for. I think it draws the eye too much. Overall it's nice to see a photo that is definetely in my top 5 for the challenge that is light. A lot of the better winning photos have been rather lowkey lately. Time for a change! 10
YOur shout SHOUTS freedowm very well. Composition is great - model is also doing a nice job for you. The biggest problem is that it seems to be a bit overexposed - and the white border exacerbates it.

I love the look of this photo. Love the pastel colors here. The exposure is excellent IMO Does give a free and fresh feeling. Great shot!!! Good luck with the challenge!!!
