Nice - soft - otherworldly. I love the various elements. As a whole, it's almost an abstract until you start looking closely. (just saw that Roz used the same words - lol)
You're on a promising path here. Nice use of overlap to add texture without overwhelming the image. That said, I wonder how it would look if you'd partially masked out the overlay on the sphere(?) to let a little more detail on the palm trees through. I look forward to seeing where else you go with this.
