White pelicans found a food patch at the Elkhorn slough yesterday.

This looks like a weird take on the typical swan shot. I love pelicans, but around here you seldom see them on the water.

great shot alice ... it looks like they're all either grooming or trying to catch fish .. busy busy busy .. pelicans are the best birds .. so interesting and weird looking ... there must be different varieties coz the ones i've seen locally have different eyes to ones i've seen taken by other ppl in different countries .. :) ..
