Was camping last memorial day and found some wood left behind by another camper that was so beautiful, I couldn't bear to burn it. Am camping at Moro Bay as I type this (yes, I brought my laptop, how else could I upload DP Challenges!) and re-discovered my find along with my other camping gear. The image shows three pieces (all I had), and the contrast between the weathered outer surface and the beautiful red grain. Having fulfilled its purpose, I am basking in the warmth provided as I burn my entry. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
