I took this sitting on the back of a boat this past weekend. It was very hard to get the focus on the bubbles.

The bubbles are nice, especially the one at center right that is really sharply in focus. I wish that there were more of them, and I also think the background is a little distracting.

Neat idea, I think that the image looks over sharpened, and the frame seems unnecessary.

It was hard to get the focus on the bubbles, I'm sure. The main problem with this is that these boats don't make a good background for these bubbles. It's an unusual pairing, and the boats compete for attention even though I can see you've used DOF to isolate your subject matter. Did you have trouble with underexposure? Looks a bit noisy/grainy which detracts from fun shiny bubbles. Next time, try isolating just a few of the bubbles and have the boats as a reflection in them. Your border is also not helping your presentation.

Your concept of lots of bubbles floating around might work better in a different challenge.
