Sunlit foliage shot through a hole in a granite sculpture.
Exposed for the foliage using an incident light meter, added some fill flash to lighten the dark stone of the sculpture.
Shot with a small depth of field and focussed on the sculpture throwing the foliage out of focus.
Cropped in post and rotated so the dark sculpture reached the edges of the image.
Then inverted so the blobby bit was at the bottom making it look like a tear drop.
The inversion seemd to fool the mind into thinking the vertical crease in the tear drop was close to the observer (it was actually inside the hole) and hence it looked like some oily gunk oozing out of a cocoon.
