I shot this a couple of years back, manual SLR on Ilford black and white film. I was hand developing the roll, putting it into the canister when there was a knock on the door (I was in college at the time). I opened the door and realized too late that I had not put the top on the canister. It resulted in many lost photos, and many partially blown out. However, many of the photos that were only partially blown out seemed to work really well with that look, considering the subject matter was something of a fairy tale. So for this particular print, I made an 8x10 and tea stained it. It has now become one of my favorite personal photos.
