The past week or two, the crack of dawn has coincided with my bus's arrival time downtown. As sunlight comes blasting down Liberty Ave., commuters walking east cover their eyes and leave elongated shadows in their wake.
Thanks for the comments. Crop? Bite your tongue! Not from the hip, either. I've developed a comfort level sneaking a quick look at the viewfinder before shooting.
As far as processing, this didn't get past the Sigma raw editor. Desaturate, and a little contrast boost is all it got.

Top 25? I'll take it! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for the comments. This is an anomaly, I'm sure, and not a reversal of a trend. I'll have more great fours for you soon.

lovely atmosphere. haven't seen this shot before. One thing puzzles me - why your own shadow (if that's what it is) is so blurry? Are you semi-translucent or just genuinely blurry (like Robin Williams in Woody Allen's "Deconstructing Harry" movie?) :)
Dang, Brian! You're going to totally undo your recent rep! I was afraid this one might get creamed, but I'm very pleased to see I was wrong. It was one of my 9's.
