About 15 minutes after sunset. That's Venus. I was planning for some star trail images, hence the ISO 50 setting. So this image was essentially to set up the composition. Mosquitoes sucked the patience out of my kids, so we left before true darkness. So Venus has a bit of motion blur.
I really like the composition of this one with the joshua tree on the left coming into the frame on the diagonal. I'm with Melethia I really had to look for Venus. Too bad you couldn't arrange for a great big full mooon or setting sun. (Although through the magic of Photoshop....) ;P
