The Williamson's Sapsuckers are probably my favorite birds in RMNP. They are very pleasant and photogenic birds. Today, a mated pair had picked out a cavity nest in an old aspen trunk. The male was doing everything he could to entice the female to accept this cavity nest as THE place. He preened and preened, while she was coy and shy. But, I think it was a "sale".
