You have enough wonderful shots as these(intentional camera blur) to make it a series. I like how Yanko says that it looks like an Enya song. I totally see it!

This is so unbelievably good, we're all so proud of you (and envious ;>)

Hey - I never realised that you had put this into a FS - or that it had got such a good result !

Sarah - This was easily my favorite shot of the challenge. I'm interested in how you accomplished your camera blur for this shot. Did you zoom in while during exposure?

Beautiful! Congrats on top 10 in a FS with an artistic shot. :)

Congratulations, Sarah. Look at all those great comments -- everyone is so thrilled to see an abstract do well!

Wowser! My favorite genre (blur), I've shot a lot of motion blur and you've outdone anything I've ever done in it! A real winner.

Ohmy! What beautiful fine art! And I am so impressed and delighted that it won 7th place in a free study. In the past, artistic blur has been hard to sell with this crowd. It just goes to show how fabulous it is! Congratulations!

OH Sarah!!! Fabulous use of blur. So glad to see the masses are coming around. Congrats on top 10

I am happy to see this one get a good score. It's the essence of sailing with no hard edges.

Very HAPPY for this shot!!! Just fabulous that it did so well especially with the cranky , unpredictable DPC voters. CONGRATS on Top10
Post actions
It was among my top-scoring photos, but I didn't really expect it to do so well with the general dpc populace. Top 10 - brilliant.
Post actions
Congrats on a top ten placing. This really is stunning.
Post actions
I already said it was beautiful. but congrats on the high score Sarah - and for an abstract image, to boot!!! what a feat!

Love this artistic picture. I grew up sailing and almost always like sail boat pictures. This one is no different.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Beautiful, simplistic blur!

Thats really cool , i love it.

I know that motion blur photos like this normally get hammered on DPC, but I hope this one doesnt. It looks as if you took it from another boat, with the camera on a tripod. As your boat rocked up and down, it created this.
Post actions
That would make a good print
Post actions
excellent almost abstract and gorgeous color and lines. Love it!

Nice use of blur. Just enough shape to be clear what it is, but nice and abstracty.
