Put a bunch of peanuts in a bowl. Opened one up and removed the thin shell before placing the nuts back into the shell. Lighting is from an antique lamp over head towards top of photo and a reflector level with nuts at bottom of picture. Wanted to remove some but not all of the shadows as feel they give the photo depth.
In Aperture:
- Raw fine tuning adjusted: Sharpening to 1 and edges to 0.86
- Exposure adjusted: Exposure to .23, Recovery to 1.5, Black Point to 13.19, Brightness to -0.1
- Enhance: Contrast to .5 and definition to 1.0
- Auto levels: It looked good so I left it
- Sepia: to 1.0
- Exported JPG at 800 x 800
CS5
- Ran USM several times to get the sharpness I was going for.
Expecting this to score above 6 and hoping for something around 6.5 to 7.0
Post challenge:
Well it did not score the 6 I was hoping but was close and I am happy.
