I love the lack of shadows. The starkness is beautiful. This shot portrays your expertise at this type of shot. I would only suggest a little more white space around the subject.

Well executed and beautiful composition! Not much I could suggest without being nitpicky, other than cloning out the white "scratches" on the black/dark purple pencil shaft.
