Just an average snapshot, I'm afraid. Looks like you may have been using the onboard flash. Forward facing flash can kill a good pic worse than midday sun.
I feel this might not do too well in this type of challenge. The dog truely does look awesome & comfy but the focus is not there and the composition and lighting doesn't work for me. This got a 2 from me.
For a shot like this, the dog *has* to be in focus. The blue collar detracts from the dog. The very light blanket in the foreground distracts. Lots of patterns and textures in the picture that don't work together. A tighter crop would have reduced the distractions. Looks like a wonderful dog. Is he on your spot on the couch? Looks like something he would do...
I love dogs but this photo is such a snap shot type image that it really shows little or no photographic skills needed to take this shot. I hate to sound so harsh but that is my honest impression of the shot.
