I first engineered/produced a recording for this brother-sister combo in 1995, when they were 9 and 11 years old respectively, both at the Freight & Salvage Coffehouse (at its former location) and in a home "studio" I cobbled together with help from some borrowed equipment. We got a pretty decent cassette (remember those?) out of two days of recording.
They have since gone on to win US fiddling championships (in their age groups) several times each.
They performed with their current band this past January at the Freight's newest location, a rather simple but relatively sumptuous auditorium panelled with recycled contruction wood, plus a big lobby, classrooms, etc.
