I know some people dislike borders (and that's understandable) but this was shot at 16:9 with my lumix and I didn't do any cropping so I don't necessarily see the border as being a waste of pixels because nothing was removed vertically.

Lovely sunset shot with good color and good texture in the water. IMNSHO, that heavy black border detracts from the shot. You're wasting precious pixels.
