Taken during the Cross Country phase of Badminton Horse Trials.
I considered cropping this closer on the right but I felt that doing so detracted from the overall image, as I wanted the viewer to see more of where the horse would be landing. As a consequence I have left in the post on the right which might be considered a bit distracting.

I think I would have cropped a bit to cut out the crowd and the sign, and really get the horse and action to be that much more significant, but this is a great shot. Very nice.
this is a good shot, but it could have been a great one if you'd shot from a lower perspective. as is, it's a shot anyone with a decent camera could have taken. shoot tighter and take me into the action. show me something i can't see from the sidelines.
