I had this idea for a sports shot and had my son Isaac all lined up to do it, then the rain comes and isn't supposed to stop all weekend so then I had to switch gears and figure something else out that I could do in the rain. I get this shot all set up in my head and figure that I could do it on the Sunday now that it's going to be raining then too and low and behold after I tell our son he can now make plans with his friend instead of helping me with my photo, it doesn't rain, not a drop all day Sunday and our son is off with a friend. Another change in plans for me, off to the ball park with all my gear and props plus one watering can. Sometimes you just have to make your own weather :)
A great big thank you to my wife Janet-Lynne for being my weather girl.

This is such a great shot. Such a wonderful feel to it, and so well executed. The focus is excellent, the capture of the rain drops. Congratulations on the ribbon.
I think I would have liked it without the bat. It seems rather harsh and more contrasting than the rest of the shot. Love the dandelions and the rain. :) 7
