Such a fun image... had to make the hat, it is covered in clothes pins and knots in the back lol. The hair is hemp fibre, and the background is a cloth print.
Three photos in all, the Hatter, the background cloth, and the cardboard cutout bat. Used mask for the hatter and cutout the bat. The hair is also colored in PS but it was done using adjustment layers and masks no actual painting on the original.
